Story Time: Santa

The Santa-themed story time was also our Story Time Christmas party. We read Thomas Nelson' adaptation of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and two fun books: Santa! A Scanimation Picture Book by Rufus Butler Seder and Roger Priddy's Christmas Treasure Hunt.

We did our shaker songs with bells and also sand Jingle Bells a couple of times. Our craft was a foam Santa ornament with handprint beard, which came from Oriental Trading. As we were having our cookies and Santa juice boxes (same as last year!), Santa himself stopped by to say hello.

I was donated a box full of Bill O'Reilly and James Patterson's Give Please a Chance hardback books, which I wrapped up for Story Time Christmas gifts. I found the cute Santa beard lip whistles at Hobby Lobby, and got the snowman lollipops from a local shop just down the street from the library.
